Dandruff Home Remedies

                                                        Dandruff

Excessive shedding of dead skin from the scalp is called dandruff.

Skin cells die and flake off, so a small amount of flaking is normal, but when it increases beyond a certain limit, it results in social and self-esteem problems. In a normal condition the scalp skin dies and flakes off in a month, while in those suffering from dandruff, this happens every 2-7 days. It is also associated with redness and itching.

Home Remedies:
Wash hair regularly 2-3 times a week with a mild shampoo. Massage your hair with oil every time before washing the head and hair. Indigestion, constipation, and acid stomach should be treated.

Mix 2-3 teaspoons of coconut oil with 1 teaspoon of Indian gooseberry (amla ) juice. Massage the scalp with this each day.

Mix 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon mustard oil, and 1 cup yogurt. Apply this to the hair ½ to 1 hour before washing the head and hair.

Take 10 drops of lemon juice and add it  to 1 egg white, and beat well. Apply to the scalp and hair once a week.

Avoid spicy, greasy, hot and penetrating foods, junk food, and aerated drinks. Have food with good nutritive value; include fiber-rich foods, salads, fruits, and lentils.

    PRAKRUTI

                                   Prakriti

Prakriti is the basic nature of intelligence by which the universe exists and functions.
According to Ayurveda, each individual has a unique Prakriti or constitution.
This is unlike the traditional Western idea of three basic body types
    - ectomorph (lean and delicate), mesomorph (compact and muscular) and
endomorph (stocky). According to this system an individual's basic
constitution to a large extent  determines predisposition and
prognosis of diseases as well as therapy and life-style regime.
Ayurveda describes ten broad constitution types (Prakritis) each with a varying
degree of predisposition to different diseases. Among these, constitutions,
Sama Dosha (Equal) constitution is the best and it is the rarest. Single Dosha
constitution is fairly better. Among them Vata is good, Pitta is better and
Kapha Prakriti is best. Dual constitutions are more commonly seen and are more
prone to have health issues and a difficult prognosis.

    BENEFITS OF UNDERSTANDING YOUR PRAKRITI
    • It gives a thorough understanding of your body and its requirements.
    • It helps you maintain optimal health.
    • Following a balanced diet and regimen for each seasonal variations help maintain the balance of the Doshas / humours.
    • This helps you maintain a balanced personal, family and professional life.
    • This analysis helps you understand your body better, the type of your personality, your vulnerability to diseases and helps you intelligently select the foods and regimen that will balance your Prakriti.

    PRINCIPLES OF AYURVEDA

                            AYURVEDA

According to the ancient Indian philosophies and especially
Ayurveda, the human body is composed of five natural elements -
Pṛthvī (earth), Jala(water), Agni (fire), Vāyu (air) and Ākāśa (Sky).
Hence the human body is a miniature form of the universe in itself.
The five elements in their biological form in the living body are
known as DOSHAS or humours. They are –
Vāyu or Vāta , Pitta and Kapha. All activities and functions
(normal or abnormal) of the body and mind are dependent on
the normal or abnormal state of the three Doshas in the body.
The balanced state of the Doshas is health or equilibrium and
    it’s derangement is disease.
